The line of Steve Ott, Mike Ribeiro and Jere Lehtinen had a hand in both Dallas Stars goals Tuesday night, continuing their recent run off offensive production.

Ott had a goal and an assist, Lehtinen scored a goal and Ribeiro assisted on both tallies in the 2-0 win over Atlanta. Over the last six games those three players have combined for a total of nine goals and eleven assists.

Stars coach Dave Tippett said the line's work ethic is driving its recent success.

"Our work ethic and our commitment to playing a hard-fought game like that is where we are going to have our most success. That line is typifying it right now," said Tippett. "Ribeiro is skating very well. Otter and Lehts are workaholics, but Ribs is skating very well. He's playing a steady, solid game for us."

Ribeiro has eight points (four goals, four assists) and a plus-four rating over the last six games.

"My wingers have been a big part of my success here lately," Ribeiro said.

Ott has three goals and three assists over the last six games.

"Anytime you play with someone like him (Ribeiro) and a three-time Selke winner (Lehtinen), good things are going to happen," said Ott. "Hard work has gotten us a lot of scoring chances and we capitalized on a couple of them tonight."

Here are the trio's stats over the last six games:

Player GP G A PTS +/-
Mike Ribeiro 6 4 4 8 +4
Steve Ott 6 3 3 6 +4
Jere Lehtinen 6 2 4 6 +5
Totals - 9 11 20 +13

Brunnstrom to Manitoba for two games

Stars forward Fabian Brunnstrom was assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL on Tuesday. Brunnstrom, who is coming off a high ankle sprain that sidelined for the final 11 games before the All-Star break, is expected to play two games with Manitoba before returning to the Stars this weekend.

"He'll meet us in Columbus," said Stars coach Dave Tippett. "His game was getting a lot better [before the injury]. He's feeling more comfortable and he knows how we want to play. He's got great skill. He's going to be a very good player, but we've got to be patient with him."

Quotable

"He's a strong man with a big chest. It was just lucky, I guess."
