Stars Notes: Fistric misses game with injury
Stars defenseman Mark Fistric missed Saturday night's game against Phoenix with a lower body injury.
"He aggravated his injury and couldn't play today," said Stars coach Marc Crawford, who added that Fistric was day to day.
Fistric apparently suffered the injury in the third period of Thursday's game against Columbus.
With Fistric out, Jeff Woywitka was in the lineup for the first time since January 16 and only for the fourth time in the last 20 games.
"I thought Woywitka came in and gave us a lot of energy," said Crawford. "He's kind of a wildcard back there on the defense."
Modano returns
Stars center Mike Modano, who missed Thursday's game with a knee injury, was back in the lineup Saturday night after testing the knee Saturday morning.
"It felt weak in Columbus and I just really couldn't skate and push on it," Modano said after Saturday morning's skate at the American Airlines Center. "If knew if it was just a bruise I could give it a couple of days and the swelling would go down. It did and feels a lot better."
Modano played 18:41 Saturday night, his highest ice time total of the season.
