Stars Notes: National TV Coverage
The Dallas Stars are slated for at least four appearances on national television appearances in the U.S. this coming season, according to the national TV schedule released by the league on Thursday.
Those four appearances come on Versus. The first one is scheduled for January 12, when the Stars host the defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings. Versus will also carry a February 23 game when San Jose is at the American Airlines Center. Road games against Phoenix (March 30) and Minnesota (April 7) are also on the Versus schedule.
The Stars will also get some national coverage in Canada as well. Their December 3 game in Edmonton will be carried by TSN and their January 3 game in Edmonton will be carried by CBC.
TSN will also be carrying a March 17 game in Vancouver and a March 18 game in Calgary.
NBC will once again use flex scheduling, determining which games it will show about two weeks in advance to ensure it selects the best game possible for a national audience.
The schedule for the NHL Network, which will carry 75 live games in the U.S. and 40 in Canada, will release its schedule later.
The Stars' local television schedule will be released within the next week.
Here's how the Stars' national appearances currently break down in both the U.S. and Canada:
