About the Stars |

The Stars are coming off a 5-4 overtime

of 2-0, 3-1 and 4-3 to win the game.
"I like the way our guys hung in there.
We kept playing aggressively and got pucks to the net
and the last play was the definition of aggressive,"
said Stars coach Dave Tippett.
The Stars outshot the Red Wings 49-30 in
the game and three of their goals came their defensemen.
Injuries: RW Fabian Brunnstrom (ankle), RW
Landon Wilson (ribs), D Sergei Zubov (hip) and LW Brenden

About the Sabres |
|
The Sabres dropped their second straight
game, losing 4-1 in Chicago Wednesday night. The Sabres
were 0-7 on the power play in the game and missed on a
six minute power play in the second period when Chicago
was up 3-1.
"We've got to do better than this,"
said Buffalo goalie Patrick Lalime, who had 21 saves on
the night. "We have to capitalize on our chances. We did
slow down their offense, but it wasn't good enough."
The Sabres have scored just three
goals in their last three games.

Maxim Afinogenov (groin) and RW Patrick
Kaleta (neck) are out. |
