2009-10 season
In his first pro season, Bachman had the best goals against average in the ECHL at 2.28. He had a 22-7-4 record, .910 save percentage and four shutouts, finishing tied for second in save percentage, sixth in wins and tied for first in shutouts. He was named All ECHL Second Team. He played eight games for Texas of the AHL, posting a 4-4-0 record with a 2.15 goals against average, .932 save percentage and one shutout. He was 6-2 in the ECHL playoffs with a 1.59 goals against average and a .943 save percentage before he was assigned to Texas, where he served as a backup during the Calder Cup Playoffs.

In 2008-09, played 35 games in his sophomore season at Colorado College, posting a 14-11-10 record, a .914 save percentage, a 2.63 goals-against-average and three shutouts. Signed three-year entry-level contract March 27, 2009 ... In 2007-08 Bachman posted a 25-9-1 record with a 1.85 goals against average, a .931 save percentage and four shutouts in his freshman season with Colorado College. Was named the WCHA's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, becoming only the second player in league history to win the two awards in the same season. Curtis Joseph (1988-89) was the other. Won the HCA National Rookie of the Year award as well.  ... Bachman started the 2006-07 season with Chicago of the USHL, posting a 2-5-0 record, 4.85 goals against average and a .888 save percentage. He was then traded to Cedar Rapids for fellow Dallas goaltending prospect Pat McGann. Bachman was 14-10-2 in Cedar Rapids with a 2.99 GAA and .913 save percentage. He also had four shutouts. He was 4-1 in the playoffs with a 1.28 goals against average and .951 save percentage. Has committed to Colorado College for the 2007-08 season. ... Scouting Report
Athletic and technically sound goalie who does a good job of covering the bottom of the net. Displays good glove hand. Shows good patience. Can recover quickly after making initial stop. Has excellent reflexes. Very composed under pressure and never seems to panic. Very competitive. Not a big goalie, but he plays big.
